Forestry Shreds

Forestry Shreds is produced from shredding non-merchantable timber upon firesmarting activities. It is mainly made of trunkwood, with branches and some bark. Shape is generally more elongated than chips.

Coarse Forestry Shreds is up to 6'' in length. It is made with the 'regular' screen, thus does not incur screen swapping fees.

Medium Forestry Shreds is up to 4'' in length. It requires an alternative screen, thus incurs a swapping fee of $1,000 on orders less than 1,000 cu yd.

Smaller Forestry Shreds is up to 2'' in length. It requires an alternative screen, thus incurs a swapping fee of $1,000 on orders less than 1,000 cu yd.

This product only is available in Bulk. Humidity content varies, and can be > 14%. This material should be spread out promptly to less than 6'' thick. Leaving it in a pile could trigger composting, potentially decreasing its value and developing a fire hazard.
