Trunkwood Woodchips
Trunkwood woodchips are a great option for mulching playground areas, landscape features, or around trees and shrubs. Conserve water, control weeds, prevent compaction from rain, and moderate soil temperatures by adding 2-4 inches of mulch, and topping up as needed.
This product is made from aspen, spruce and pine trunkwood (whole trees) mulched upon opening new agricultural land.
Trunkwood woodchips are free, and only the service fees apply.

Alternatively, Yukon Government Ag Branch occasionally organizes 'Mulch Days' where the service are absorbed by public funds, incl. logistics, mobilization, handling, loading up, and machinery. More info here.

- Up to 8 cu yd can be carried in a Single-Axle Dumper Truck
- Up to 15 cu yd can be carried in a Double-Axle Dumper Truck
- Up to 27 cu yd can be carried in a Dumper Truck + Pup
